LC's Home Sales Stats Continue to Rise in 2014!

Licking County home sales are holding steady with 235 single family homes having sold from Jan. - Feb. of this year, a 15.2% increase over the same period last year. The average sold price the first two months of this year was $143,429, a 10.9% increase over the same period last year.

 

Licking County's days on market is down 3.6%, with it taking on average 107 days for a house to sell from the listing to closing dates. 

 

New listings were down with only 347 single family homes going up for sale from Jan. - Feb. of this year, down 21.1% from the same period last year. Licking County's inventory of homes for sale is 819, indicating a 4.7 months supply of inventory.

CENTURY 21 International and CENTURY 21 Greater Ohio Broker Council recently awarded CENTURY 21 Frank Frye Real Estate with 21 awards at the CENTURY 21 Greater Ohio Broker Council Awards Dinner held March 29 at the Hilton at Easton in Columbus.

CENTURY 21 International honored CENTURY 21 Frank Frye Real Estate with its Gold Medallion Sales Award. CENTURY 21 Frank Frye Real Estate, for the fifth consecutive year, received CENTURY 21's prestigious Quality Service Pinnacle Award for quality customer service given to Clients. Realtors Aaron Parks, Frank Frye, and Phil Frye earned individual CENTURY 21 Quality Service Pinnacle Awards for receiving the award consecutive years. Realtor Ric Lahmers, Kim Thomson, Jodie Greene, and Eric Hall received the CENTURY 21 Quality Service Award.

Realtor Debbie Kallis Joins CENTURY 21 Frank Frye Family

Kallis is currently working with buyers and sellers. Kallis has worked as a Realtor for five years in Licking and Franklin counties. She holds a designation as a Senior Real Estate Specialist. Kallis has also been a real estate investor for 15 years.

Kallis is a graduate of The Ohio State University and Hondros College. Her hobbies include golf, gardening, camping, and spending time with family. She and her husband, Tom, are relocating from Pataskala back into the Newark area. Kallis is a volunteer with La Sertoma.

Home Sales up 15.4% in the LC in 2013

305 Upson Downs Rd. in Newark is listed for sale at $154,500 by Frank Frye of CENTURY 21 Frank Frye Real Estate.

The second-highest sales year on record ended with the strongest December since the housing boom in Central Ohio. December home sales came in at 1,735, 2.5 percent higher than December 2012 and the most sales on record since the peak of the boom in 2005 (1,829) according to the Columbus Board of Realtors Multiple Listing System (MLS).

 

In total, there were 27,033 closed sales in Central Ohio in 2013 which was 17.1 percent higher than December 2012. The sale price of a Central Ohio home in 2013 was $174, 336, an increase of 4.2 percent over 2012.

 

"Home sales and prices continue to increase based on competitive listing prices, inventory, and buyer's demand," said Phil Frye, CENTURY 21 Frank Frye Real Estate General Manager and Realtor.

In Licking County, there were 1,967 closed home sales in 2013 which was 15.4 percent higher than 2012.

The sale price of a Licking County home in 2013 was $149,713, an increase of 3.9 percent over 2012.

The number of Licking County homes for sale going into contract in December was 139.

The number of days on market for Licking County homes for sale was 83 at the end of 2013, down 14 days since the end of 2012.

The inventory of homes for sale in Licking County was 915 at the end of 2013.

The months supply of inventory of homes for sale in Licking County was 5.6 months at the end of 2013.
