Crime Stoppers Offers $$$ Reward for Info on Home Invasion/Drug Theft

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone that has information that will help law enforcement with the investigation of a home invasion involving a gun and prescription drugs in Johnstown.

The Licking County Sheriff’s Office reports on the afternoon of July 17, 2009 a suspect entered an unlocked home in the 7800 block of Green Mill Rd., pointed a 9 mm handgun at the homeowner who was inside and demanded his Oxycontin. The suspect then fled with 200 Oxycontin pills.

The suspect is described as a while male, five-foot-eight to six-feet tall, weighing150-180 pounds, in his early 20’s, with a tattoo on the back of his neck possibly resembling an octopus, and wearing blue jeans, a red shirt, red windbreaker jacket, and a red hat.

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 1-888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.

Crime Stoppers also takes calls from persons with information about any felony. Information leading to the arrest and indictment of a felony suspect could qualify the caller for a reward as determined by the Crime Stoppers’ Board. Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization. Reward money comes from private individuals, businesses, and foundations that see Crime Stoppers as an integral tool in the community’s fight against crime. Tax-deductible donations can be sent to: Licking County Crime Stoppers, Inc., P.O. Box 304, Newark, OH 43058-0304.
