Licking County’s average home sold price was $168,606 from
January through May of this year, up 3.0% over the first five months of 2015. There
were 916 existing homes and condominiums sold in this year’s first five months,
up 11.8% from the same period last year when there were 819 homes sold.
The inventory of homes and condos for sale in Licking County
was 509 at the end of May, with a 2.4 months supply of inventory. There were 322
new listings that came onto the market in May.
The average sale price of a Licking County home during the
month of May was $183,978, which is a 7.9 percent gain over May 2015. There were 253 homes sold in Licking County in
May, a 3.4 percent decrease over May 2015. Homes sold in May, spent an average
of 70 days on market (from listing to close), up 7.7% from 65 days in May 2015.
Homes going into contract with a Buyer totaled 298 in May.
