LC Housing Market Stays Strong!

Licking County’s average home sold price was $176,083 from January through November of this year, up 4.3% over the first eleven months of 2015. There were 2,286 existing homes and condominiums sold in this year’s first eleven months, up 9.1% from the same period last year when there were 2,096 homes sold, according to the Columbus REALTORS Multiple Listing Service. 

"The market in Licking County remains strong, while experiencing a natural slowing for this time of year. This is a great time to list a home, as there is less competition and buyers looking at this time of year tend to be more serious buyers." said 2016 Licking County Board of REALTORS President Lisa Stewart. “This is proving to be one of the best years ever for the central Ohio real estate market with record sales. Low interest rates continue to provide opportunity for buyers to buy more for their money.”

The inventory of homes and condos for sale in Licking County was 513 at the end of November, with a 2.5 month’s supply of inventory. There were 164 new listings that came onto the market in November, a 11.4% decline from November 2015. 

The average sale price of a Licking County home during the month of November was $176,974, which is a 10.7% rise from November 2015. There were 175 homes sold in Licking County in November, a 15.1% gain over November 2015. Homes sold in November, spent an average of 52 days on market (from listing to close), down 17.5% from 63 days in November 2015. Homes going into contract totaled 182 in November.

LC Home Sales are up 8.2% this Year!

Licking County’s average home sold price was $176,175 from January through October of this year, up 4% over the first ten months of 2015. There were 2,103 existing homes and condominiums sold in this year’s first ten months, up 8.2% from the same period last year when there were 1,944 homes sold, according to the Columbus REALTORS Multiple Listing Service. 

"There were fewer houses and condos listed in October, making it a good time to list with less competition," said 2016 Licking County Board of REALTORS President Lisa Stewart. "Demand is strong as buyers put more houses in contract this month compared to last month. Our market remains steady into the final quarter of the year."

The inventory of homes and condos for sale in Licking County was 552 at the end of October, with a 2.6 month’s supply of inventory. There were 199 new listings that came onto the market in October, a 16% decline from October 2015. 

The average sale price of a Licking County home during the month of October was $175,383, which is a .01% dip from September 2015. There were 208 homes sold in Licking County in October, a 14.9% gain over September 2015. Homes sold in October, spent an average of 41 days on market (from listing to close), down 37.9% from 66 days in October 2015. Homes going into contract totaled 231 in October.

Licking County Home Sales Remain Strong

Licking County’s average home sold price was $176,352 from January through September of this year, up 4.5% over the first nine months of 2015. There were 1,890 existing homes and condominiums sold in this year’s first nine months, up 7.2% from the same period last year when there were 1,763 homes sold, according to the Columbus REALTORS Multiple Listing Service.

"The market in 2016 continues to stay strong with a healthy increase in our average sale price in September, matched with a low average days on market making it an ideal time to list," said 2016 Licking County Board of REALTORS President Lisa Stewart. "Our number of homes sold is consistent with the number from one year ago, while new listings rose just slightly. Demand remains strong with buyers who are ready to purchase."

The inventory of homes and condos for sale in Licking County was 600 at the end of September, with a 2.9 month’s supply of inventory. There were 265 new listings that came onto the market in September, a 2.3% increase over September 2015. 

The average sale price of a Licking County home during the month of September was $187,900, which is a 12.4% gain over September 2015. There were 229 homes sold in Licking County in September, a 0% change over September 2015. Homes sold in September, spent an average of 38 days on market (from listing to close), down 42.4% from 66 days in September 2015. Homes going into contract totaled 224 in September.

LC's Homes Sales and Prices Continue to Climb

Licking County’s average home sold price was $174,718 from January through August of this year, up 3.3% over the first eight months of 2015. There were 1,657 existing homes and condominiums sold in this year’s first eight months, up 8% from the same period last year when there were 1,534 homes sold, according to the Columbus REALTORS Multiple Listing Service.  

"We continue to see growth in the average sales price and number of sales in the Licking County market," said 2016 Licking County Board of REALTORS President Lisa Stewart. "We have a very vibrant market where the average days on market remains short, along with low interest rates giving buyers  more buying power ."

The inventory of homes and condos for sale in Licking County was 570 at the end of August, with a 2.7 month’s supply of inventory. There were 288 new listings that came onto the market in August. 

The average sale price of a Licking County home during the month of August was $180,440, which is a 1.3% gain over August 2015.  There were 219 homes sold in Licking County in August, a .5% increase over August 2015. Homes sold in August, spent an average of 48 days on market (from listing to close), down 21.3% from 61 days in August 2015. Homes going into contract totaled 269 in August.
