Homes Sold and Prices Keep Rising in the LC!

Licking County’s average homes sold price was $168,110 for the first seven months of this year, up 3.8% over Jan. – July of 2014.  There were 1,306 existing homes and condominiums sold in this year’s first seven months, up 13.2% from the same time period last year.
 

“This has been another strong year for home sales and prices,” said Licking County Board of Realtors President Mitch Fellows. “Buyers are writing contracts, and in some cases they’re just waiting for the right home to hit the market and then quickly making a good offer.”
 

Homes sold in the first seven months of this year, had spent an average of 74 days on market (from listing to close), down 16.9% from 89 days for the first seven months of 2014.
 

For the first seven months of this year, there were 1,910 new listings, up 0.9% from Jan. – July of 2014.  There were 280 new listings in July, down 13.6 percent from July 2014. The inventory of homes and condos for sale in Licking County was 749 at the end of July, with a 3.9 months supply of inventory.
 

The average sold price of a Licking County home during the month of July was $173,296, which is a 6.1 percent gain over July 2014.  There were 247 homes sold in Licking County in July, a 30 percent increase over July 2014.
